About Me
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from James Madison University in 1999, graduating Cum Laude. During my time at JMU, I was a member of Psi Chi, the National Psychology Honor Society, and served as an assistant to the publisher of the Virginia Child Abuse and Protection Newsletter. I also conducted and published original research--Family Conflict and Young Adults’ Attitudes Toward Intimacy—featured in Divorce and the Next Generation (Haworth, 2001).
I went on to complete my Master’s degree in Clinical-Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy at La Salle University in Philadelphia. I became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Pennsylvania in 2006 and am also licensed to practice in the state of Delaware.
Over the past two decades, I’ve worked across a wide range of settings, including:
Domestic violence advocacy and support services
Outpatient clinics for children, adolescents, and families
Residential treatment for youth with behavioral and emotional challenges
In-home family therapy programs
Employee Assistance Programs (EAP)
I provide therapy to teens age 16 and up, adults, couples, and families, and approach each client with warmth, respect, and a collaborative spirit. Whether you're seeking support for personal challenges, relationship concerns, or professional stress, my goal is to create a safe space where growth and healing are possible.
On a personal note, I’m a proud mom and my children keep me grounded and inspired. I hold deep gratitude for the experiences—both personal and professional—that have shaped who I am today. That sense of gratitude informs my work and helps foster a more hopeful, balanced, and resilient outlook—something I hope to share with you as we work together.
